The subject line pretty much says it all. I'be been trying to use the SQL
Enterprise Administrator that came with SQL 2000 Enterprise to configure log
shipping, but the checkbox does not appear for databases on my MSDE servers,
only for the databases on my SQL 2000 Standard servers. Is there a way to set
up log shipping with MSDE?
--EricYes and no.
Log shipping is built in to Enterprise Edition only. However, there is
nothing preventing you from writing your own or using a third-party Log
Shipping solution with MSDE. The SQL 2000 Resource Kit even has an example.
