Can I link to tables in an instance of MSDE from Access 2003?

I have a small program that linked to ACT! version 6 dbf files. I now have
ACT!7 SQL version. This uses MSDE. I need to link to the ACT! tables in the
MSDE instance. Any hints? ACT! technical help says I can not link. I
thought I would ask the real MSDE experts instead.

|||Access/JET supports linked tables as does SQL Server itself. This is mostly
a matter of setting up the links from within Access. I have not done this in
years so I can't help with the current versions, but I don't see a reason
why it can't be done unless the ACT! database rights have been tuned to
prevent this.
