Can I install SQLSvr2K Eval. Ver. onto SQL Client of different Server?

I need to evaluate SQL Server 2000 for a new application.
This new application must be the primary instance.
Can I install SQL Server 2000 Evaluation Version onto a
machine that is an SQL Client for different SQL Server
installation - without adversely affecting the Client
Operation?

JohnIt depends on what MDAC you have on that client now. SQL2K will make sure
you have at least MDAC 2.6. Upgrading MDAC *can* cause problems for an
client app, so make sure you test that first.
